02Our rules of thumb

03When to go

Warm sea by June, long days, wildflowers on the mainland
May–Jun
The warmest sea of the year, fewer families, softer light
Sep
Busy, hot and windy in the Aegean: choose the Ionian or the mountains
Jul–Aug
Crete, the Dodecanese and the mainland are lovely; smaller islands begin to close
Oct

Civil and religious ceremonies are both possible, but the paperwork depends on your nationality.

It also changes over time. We can introduce you to local planners and help with timing. We won’t promise anything about the legal side until it has been checked for your case.
